Port of the month November 2015: Quinta do Noval Vintage Port 2013

Unique in the more than 300 year old history of Port is the consecutive declaration of three Vintages in a row by a traditional house (the picture shows the 2013 together with the 2012 and the 2011 Nacional, the "holy grail of Port"). Christian Seely did it! As Noval’s MD always does what quality dictates, he did well in producing a Vintage Port also in 2013. Together with his winemaker Antonio Agrellos he is in charge since the 1994 Vintage and only bottles top quality ever since.

Noval Vintage Port 2013 -Deep violett colour with lots of fantastic violett reflections. Complex bouquet with some spices and lots of redberry-fruit. Noticeable tannic structure on the palate, Cassis and chocolate. Spicy aftertaste of medium lenght. 17+ (2030-2060)
